Delete your account

In-app, one tap, no waiting.

You can permanently delete your Lyvwell account at any time. Deletion is immediate, and we remove your personal and health data straight away. The only data we keep is the ledger required by financial-records law — and even that is anonymised so it can no longer be traced back to you.

How to delete (in-app)

  1. Open the Lyvwell app and sign in.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Read the breakdown of what's deleted vs retained.
  5. Type DELETE into the confirmation box (so we know you mean it).
  6. Tap Delete my account.

You'll be signed out automatically. The phone number you used to sign up becomes available again for a fresh registration.

Can't access the app? Email privacy@lyvwell.health from the phone number or email on the account. We will verify it's you and complete the deletion within 7 days.

What is deleted immediately

  • Your profile (name, date of birth, country, language preference)
  • KYC information (national ID, mobile-money wallet)
  • Push-notification tokens
  • All mood check-ins, including encrypted PHQ-2 scores and notes
  • All screening logs
  • Your health profile (sex, birth year, conditions, family risk factors)
  • All synced or manually-logged metrics — steps, sleep, active minutes, resting heart rate, HRV
  • Your computed health-score history
  • Personal goals and goal-progress history
  • Challenge participation and challenge-progress history
  • Wearable connections (Apple Health / Health Connect links are revoked)
  • Any feedback you submitted
  • All active sessions (you're signed out everywhere)

What we retain — and why

Two categories of records are retained for legal and financial-compliance reasons, but with all links to your identity removed:

  • Point ledger and redemptions. Ghana tax law requires us to keep financial records for 7 years. We retain the transaction history (amounts, dates, redemption IDs) attached to an anonymised account — your name, contact details, and any identifying information are wiped.
  • Consent records. We retain proof that you granted (and later revoked) consent for processing health data, also for 7 years. This is required as legal evidence under data-protection law.

Neither of these can be used to identify you, contact you, or rebuild your profile.

How long does it take?

In-app deletion is immediate. Health and personal data are removed from the live database within seconds. Encrypted database backups are rotated within 35 days, after which no copy of your data exists anywhere in our systems.

Can I sign up again later?

Yes. The phone number you used is freed up the moment your account is deleted. You can register a new account with it at any time — but you'll be starting from scratch (no LyvCoins, no history).
