Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Lyvwell mobile app and website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account you agree to be bound by them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and resident in a country where Lyvwell operates. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your phone number current — losing access to it means losing access to your account.
You are responsible for the security of your device and for any activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorised use, email support@lyvwell.health immediately.
2. The Service
Lyvwell rewards healthy behaviour with LyvCoins, a non-monetary in-app credit you can redeem for items in our rewards catalogue — including airtime, mobile money, retail discounts, and insurance premium savings.
2.1 LyvCoins
- LyvCoins have no cash value outside the Service and cannot be transferred between accounts.
- The earn rates, redemption catalogue, and daily/weekly caps may change. We will notify you in-app before any rate change takes effect.
- LyvCoins earned through fraud, automation, or any breach of these terms will be reversed.
- If your account is closed for cause (Section 6), unredeemed LyvCoins are forfeited.
- LyvCoins do not expire while your account is active. If your account is inactive for 24 consecutive months, unredeemed coins may expire after 60 days' notice.
2.2 Redemptions
Mobile-money redemptions are processed by licensed payment providers. KYC verification may be required by those providers for amounts over local regulatory thresholds. Insurance and retail redemptions are subject to the terms of the partner offering them — partner terms will be shown at the moment of redemption.
3. Health data and the LyvScore
Lyvwell is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The LyvScore is a behavioural-engagement metric, not a clinical assessment. If you are concerned about your health, consult a qualified health professional. Do not rely on Lyvwell in an emergency — call your local emergency number.
You retain ownership of your health data. You decide which wearable scopes to share with us. You can revoke any scope at any time from Profile → Connected devices.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Falsify health data, use automation or scripts to inflate metrics, or otherwise game the rewards engine.
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any law in your jurisdiction.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Service's security.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the Service.
- Impersonate another person or create accounts on behalf of someone who has not consented.
5. Intellectual property
All Lyvwell branding, software, content, and the LyvScore methodology are owned by Lyvwell or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of any content you submit (mood notes, feedback) but grant us a worldwide licence to host and process it solely to operate the Service.
6. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, abuse the rewards system, or if required by law. Where possible we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy. Sections 3 (disclaimer), 5 (IP), 7 (liability), and 9 (governing law) survive termination.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lyvwell disclaims all warranties — express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We are not liable for: indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages; lost profits or lost data; or any health outcome arising from your reliance on the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the value of the LyvCoins you redeemed in the 12 months before the claim or (b) one hundred Ghana cedis (GH₵100).
Nothing in these terms excludes liability we cannot lawfully exclude.
8. Changes to the Service or terms
We may modify the Service or these terms. Material changes will be notified in-app and by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date constitutes acceptance. If you don't accept the changes, you may close your account.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Accra, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
