Medical disclaimer

Lyvwell is a preventive-health and rewards platform. It is not a medical service, not a healthcare provider, not a substitute for professional medical care, and not regulated as a medical device. This page explains what that means in practice and where Lyvwell sits in relation to your healthcare.
What Lyvwell is
Lyvwell rewards you for healthy behaviours: moving, sleeping well, eating well, getting screened, checking in on your mood. We turn data from your wearables and self-reported actions into a daily LyvScore and Lyv Coins you can redeem for cash, airtime, insurance savings, and partner offers. The product is built to encourage prevention, not to diagnose, treat, cure, or manage any disease.
Information, not medical advice
Everything you see in the app (LyvScore, trends, nudges, articles, suggestions from LyvCoach) is provided for general informational and motivational purposes. None of it is medical advice. None of it is a diagnosis. Lyvwell does not replace a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
Always seek the advice of your doctor, pharmacist, or another qualified health provider with any questions you have about a medical condition, symptom, treatment, or medication. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or saw on Lyvwell.
Wearable and biometric data
Lyvwell reads data from connected wearables (Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, and similar) and from your self-reported activity. This data is consumer-grade. It is approximate, can contain errors, and is not validated for clinical decisions. A heart rate, sleep stage, blood-oxygen reading, or step count shown in the app must not be used as the basis for diagnosing yourself, changing a medication, or postponing a real medical evaluation.
No diagnosis, treatment, or cure
Lyvwell does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. We do not claim that using the app will produce any specific health outcome. Individual results vary and depend on factors outside our control.
Emergencies
Lyvwell is not designed for medical emergencies. If you think you or someone near you may be experiencing a medical emergency (for example chest pain, sudden weakness or numbness, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, or a mental-health crisis), call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. Do not rely on the app, on a wearable alert, or on any LyvCoach response in those situations.
Talking to your healthcare provider
Where the app surfaces a trend or pattern you want to act on, such as a steadily rising resting heart rate, persistent poor sleep, or a screening reminder, share the relevant context with your doctor or pharmacist. Your healthcare provider is the right person to interpret what the data means for you specifically.
Children
Lyvwell is intended for users 18 years and older. The app is not designed for children, and we do not knowingly collect health data from minors.
Regulatory status
Lyvwell is not registered, certified, or cleared as a medical device by any regulatory body, including the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), the Ghana Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Any feature that resembles a medical-device function (a risk calculator, a symptom-tracker, an alert based on vital signs) is provided for educational and motivational purposes only.
Partner content
The app may surface content from third parties such as pharmacies, gyms, insurers, and screening providers. That content is provided by the partner. Lyvwell does not endorse, validate, or take clinical responsibility for any third-party medical advice, product, or service surfaced through the app.
Changes to this disclaimer
We may update this disclaimer over time as the product, the regulatory environment, or our partners evolve. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will also be flagged in the app on your next sign-in.
